Our mission
Art to Face is structured as a non-profit association under French law (1901), operating as an international NGO. Art to Face is dedicated to advancing cultural and arts education in contexts of crisis and post-conflict recovery.
We bring together educators, researchers, and artists to design transformative practices that foster resilience, safeguard memory, and build peace.
Our mandate is to act as a hub for expertise, cooperation, and advocacy in cultural and artistic education in fragile settings.
We support professionals and organizations by:
-
Developing innovative educational and artistic responses in emergencies.
-
Building knowledge and methodologies through research and field practice.
-
Creating collaborative spaces where actors can share, reflect, and strengthen their capacities.
-
Engaging in dialogue with institutions and policymakers to recognize the role of culture and the arts in education and peacebuilding.

Our Story
Art to Face was first created in 2022 as a consultancy, bringing expertise in cultural and artistic education to humanitarian and educational organizations. Over the years, the initiative evolved beyond individual practice, as fieldwork in Syria, Iraq, Gaza, Yemen, and Romania revealed a common need: to connect professionals, share knowledge, and design collective strategies at the crossroads of arts, culture, and education in crisis contexts.
In 2025, Art to Face became an international NGO.This transformation reflects both the urgency of the times and the conviction that culture and the arts are central to resilience, recognition, and peacebuilding.Today, Art to Face acts as a collaborative platform, bridging research and practice, local initiatives and global advocacy, to ensure that education through arts and culture is recognized as a vital dimension of recovery in fragile and post-conflict settings.
