Bio
Ayad Ismail is a specialist in non-formal education and psychosocial support, with over ten years of experience working with displaced and refugee Yazidi communities across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He has collaborated with multiple local and international organizations, designing and implementing programs that address social, psychological, and economic needs in both camp settings and host communities.
As a founding member of several volunteer groups and organizations, Ayad has played a key role in mobilizing community-based initiatives, particularly in displacement contexts. His expertise lies in developing inclusive learning activities, providing psychosocial support for children and youth, and fostering resilience among vulnerable populations.
Ayad’s leadership combines technical knowledge with community-driven approaches, ensuring that education and psychosocial activities are culturally sensitive and accessible. Through his work, he continues to advocate for the dignity and empowerment of displaced populations, creating safe spaces where healing, learning, and community solidarity can thrive.
